This item is part of our Initial Prototype Run (IPR). It is a fully functional, ready-to-use product, though it may include design elements or features that differ from the images shown. These differences help us refine our products based on feedback before moving to bulk production. Pricing reflects this stage in the design process. All IPRs are covered under our standard warranty policy.

The Springbok Plate Carrier from Sable Defense is engineered for those who prioritize mobility and adaptability in their gear.
Its design accommodates 10x12 plates, providing essential protection without unnecessary bulk. The carrier features a squadron laminate front panel with laser-cut slots, facilitating the attachment of placards and efficient cable routing for hydration or communication systems. Internally, loop fields are integrated to allow for the addition of airflow padding, enhancing comfort and ventilation during extended wear.
Currently offered as a set of front and rear plate bags, the Springbok is a modular platform, with optional shoulder pads and cummerbunds available separately to tailor the fit and functionality to individual needs.

Lasercut Precision
We rely on laser-cutting technology to ensure precision and consistency across every piece of gear we make. As humans, we’re not immune to error — that’s why we use the best tools at our disposal. Laser cutting allows us to produce clean edges, repeatable patterns, and tight tolerances that traditional methods can’t match, all while maximizing material efficiency and structural integrity.
Genuine Patterns
Sable Defense gear is made using licensed, genuine authentic camouflage patterns. We don’t use knockoff prints or overseas copies — every fabric is sourced from authorized U.S. mills to ensure color accuracy, NIR compliance, and long-term durability.
Material Used
When we can we will use only U.S.-sourced, military-grade materials. That includes 500D Cordura® nylon for abrasion resistance and durability, Squadron™ laminate for laser-cut precision and rigidity, Type 69 bonded nylon thread for strength and long-term wear, mil-spec hook & loop for reliable attachment, and ITW Nexus or Duraflex® hardware for dependable load-bearing components. All materials are selected for performance in real-world conditions — no knockoffs, no imported substitutes.
NIR Compliance / BERRY Amendment
Sable Defense gear is fully NIR-compliant and Berry Amendment compliant. We use U.S.-sourced, mil-spec materials including NIR-treated Cordura, mil-grade webbing, thread, and hardware — all cut and sewn in Dallas, Texas. This ensures our products meet the infrared signature reduction requirements for operational use and the domestic sourcing standards required by the Department of Defense.
Some limited Niche Camo options may not be NIR or BERRY compliant. These items will mention this in the description

Can I request custom gear or small-batch runs
Yes. We offer limited custom and small-batch production. Reach out with your specs or unit needs, and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can take on.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes — everything we make is backed by a 5 year warranty. If your gear fails due to workmanship or material defects, we’ll repair or replace it. Simple as that.
Returns / Exchanges
We accept returns or exchanges on all gear for any reason within 30 days of delivery.
Shipping Times?
In-stock items usually ship within 1–3 business days. Made-to-order gear will follow the lead times listed at checkout. You'll receive tracking as soon as your order leaves our shop.
